The Committee considered the written report of the Director for Development and Economic Growth relating to the following applications, which had been circulated previously.

 

24/00485/FUL – The erection of a single dwelling – 146 Loughborough Road, Ruddington, Nottinghamshire, NG11 6LJ.

 

Updates

 

The Chair, Councillor R Butler, acknowledged receipt of an email sent to all members of planning committee by the applicant, Mr Kerrison.

 

In accordance with the Council’s Public Speaking Protocol for Planning Committee, Mr A Kerrison (Applicant) addressed the Committee.

 

Councillor J Walker (Ward Councillor) had registered to address the committee on this item as Ward Councillor. However, on arriving at the meeting after the designated time for public speaking and after the recommendation in the officer’s report had been moved and seconded and members of the committee had proceeded to debate the item, it was ruled that she was not permitted to address the committee, in accordance with the Council’s standing orders on meeting procedure.

 

Cllr S Mallender abstained from voting on this application due to her late attendance.

 

DECISION

 

PLANNING PERMISSION BE GRANTED SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS, THE DETAILS OF WHICH ARE SET OUT IN THE REPORT PUBLISHED WITH THE AGENDA.

 

24/00603/FUL – Demolition of existing extension and detached outbuilding. Erect two 2 storey side extensions, single storey rear extension, rear dormer windows, replacement bay windows to front – Fields Farm, Barton Lane, Thrumpton, Nottinghamshire.

 

Updates

 

An additional representation was received after the agenda was published and this was circulated to the Committee before the meeting.

 

In accordance with the Council’s Public Speaking Protocol for Planning Committee, Mr C O’Grady (Applicant) and Councillor R Walker (Ward Councillor) addressed the Committee.

 

Councillor R Walker then left the Council Chamber to remove himself from the debate and vote, returning after the vote had been taken.

 

Comments

 

The Committee voted 5-5 in favour of the recommendation in the officer’s report, with the Chair having the casting vote.

 

DECISION

 

PLANNING PERMISSION BE REFUSED FOR THE REASONS DETAILED IN THE REPORT PUBLISHED WITH THE AGENDA.
