The Committee considered the written report of the Director – Development and Economic Growth relating to the following applications, which had been circulated previously.

 

Councillor R Walker and Councillor A Brown removed themselves from the Committee and did not contribute to the discussion or vote on the following application.

 

19/02915/FUL – Residential development of 96 dwellings with associated infrastructure, access, and areas of open space at Land East of Gypsum Way, Gotham, Nottinghamshire.

 

Updates

 

An additional representation was received after the agenda had been published and this was circulated to the Committee before the meeting.

 

In accordance with the Council’s Public Speaking Protocol for Planning Committee, Mr A Gore (Applicants Agent), Mr L McCauley (Gotham Parish Councillor) and Councillor R Walker (Ward Councillor) addressed the Committee.

 

Comments

 

Members of the Committee expressed concern about potential flooding and sewerage issues and the calculations submitted by Severn Trent Water and another Body whose data did not appear to match.

 

The Committee were disappointed in the reduction in the number of affordable homes from 29 to 9 due to viability.

 

The Chair requested that the developer note some of the Committees concerns with the hope of them being addressed once the S106 agreement and conditions are agreed.   

 

DECISION

 

THE DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMIC GROWTH BE AUTHORISED TO GRANT PLANNING PERMISSION SUBJECT TO THE PRIOR SIGNING OF A SECTION 106 AGREEMENT AND THE FOLLOWING CONDITION(S), WHICH THE DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMIC GROWTH IS ALSO AUTHORISED TO AMEND TO CORRECT ANY MATTERS THAT GO TO THE HEART OF ANY CONDITION(S).

 

Councillor R Walker and Councillor A Brown rejoined the meeting.

 

23/02238/FUL - Proposed residential conversion of brick-built threshing barn, cart-shed and stable building and the residential redevelopment of the balance of the former farm complex with 6 no. new dwellings, including associated landscaping, car parking and access works – Hollytree Farm, Cropwell Road, Tithby, Nottinghamshire.
